Alyc Helms

Director of Marketing — They/Them

Alyc Helms keeps finding new ways to collaborate! They are the ‘A’ in M.A. Carrick, and co-creator (with Marie Brennan) of the Rook & Rose trilogy, the associated Rook & Rose Pattern Deck, and the upcoming Sea Beyond duology. On their own, they are the author of the Adventures of Mr. Mystic series. When they’re not inadvisably throwing themselves into new collaborative projects, they enjoy… throwing themselves into solo projects like sewing, ballet, podficcing, and learning to draw. They did their graduate work in archaeology and folklore and are convinced that this will someday be a useful survival skill for either time travel or falling into Faerie. Until then, they’ll just use that knowledge for their writing.

Software engineer by day and regular person by night, Christina runs I’m a Fan’s website, spreadsheets, calculations, and other technical operations.

Josh Storey

Director of Product — He/Him

Josh Storey a writer of science fiction and fantasy, has only ever wanted to be three things: an astronaut, Superman, and a writer. Since he’s no good at math and (as far as his parents will admit) not from Krypton, he’s going with option three. As with most authors, Josh has collected an eclectic list of other job titles, from barista to arts manager to awards ceremony producer. During the day, he works in the promotional products industry and now he’s leveraging that experience to procure product for I’m a Fan.
